Download PadLinker
PadLinker is two free apps that work together: the iPhone and iPad app you use as the trackpad and keyboard, and the Mac app that receives it. Get both here.
iPhone and iPad
Get the free PadLinker app for iPhone and iPad from the App Store — that's also where PadLinker Pro lives.

- iOS/iPadOS 17
Mac
The free menu-bar app that receives input from your iPhone or iPad over Wi‑Fi or Bluetooth and turns it into real pointer and keyboard input on your Mac. Signed and notarized by Apple.

- 1.0.0
- Size
- 5.9 MB
- Requires
- macOS 14 Sonoma
- Released
- September 18, 2026
Signed with Apple's Developer ID and notarized by Apple: Apple has checked it for malicious software, so macOS won't block it as an unidentified developer — you'll still click Open once to confirm you downloaded it.
What you need
- macOS 14 Sonoma or later
- Apple silicon or Intel Mac
- iPhone or iPad with iOS/iPadOS 17 or later, on the same Wi‑Fi network or within Bluetooth range
How to install it
Open the DMG and drag PadLinker to Applications
Double-click the downloaded file, then drag the PadLinker icon into the Applications folder shown in the window.
Open PadLinker from Applications
Launch it from Applications and click Open when macOS asks, since PadLinker isn't from the Mac App Store.
Look for it in the menu bar
PadLinker has no Dock icon — look for its icon in the menu bar at the top of the screen.
Allow Accessibility
When the setup window asks, grant Accessibility in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Accessibility — PadLinker needs it to move the pointer and type.
Connect your iPhone or iPad
Install the free PadLinker app from the App Store on your iPhone or iPad, and it finds your Mac automatically.
Staying up to date
PadLinker checks for updates automatically, about once a day, and lets you know when one is available — you decide whether to install it.
You can also check any time from the menu bar with "Check for Updates…". Updates are downloaded only from padlinker.com.
Verify the download
If you'd like to confirm the file wasn't altered in transit, compare the checksum below with the output of this command in Terminal:
shasum -a 256 ~/Downloads/PadLinker-1.0.0.dmg- SHA-256
57e153e4e56e5523db6c798082260f5ef31aa8636dca10f8d8082b437ef990b2
Why isn't it on the Mac App Store?
Apple's Mac App Store rules don't allow apps that move the pointer through the Accessibility permission for anything other than accessibility purposes — which is exactly what PadLinker needs to do. So the Mac app is distributed directly from this site instead. Apple still notarizes every build, and it stays sandboxed, just like an App Store app would be.
